Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 September 2026 · Applies to the Keepr app for iPhone, iPad and Mac
The short version. Keepr has no servers. Everything a business records — its members, visits and point balances — is stored on that business's own devices and synced through that business's own private iCloud account. BTN GROUP cannot see any of it. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
1. Who we are
Keepr is published by BTN GROUP, an EU-based development studio. For questions about this policy, write to hello@btngroup.eu.
2. Two different kinds of people
This policy covers two groups, and the distinction matters:
- The business using Keepr — the café, salon, gym or shop that installs the app.
- The members of that business's loyalty programme — the customers whose names and contact details the business records.
Roles under the GDPR
For member data, the business is the data controller. It decides what to collect and why. BTN GROUP does not receive, store or process that data at all — we do not act even as a processor, because the data never reaches us. Each business is responsible for its own lawful basis, its own privacy notice to members, and for answering its members' data-subject requests. Keepr provides the tools to do so: a full consent record, versioned terms, CSV export and permanent deletion.
3. What the app stores, and where
Keepr stores the following on the business's own device:
- Business settings — name, branding, loyalty rules, staff profiles and PIN hashes
- Member records — the fields the business chose to collect, typically name and phone or email, optionally birthday
- Activity — visits, purchases, the append-only point ledger, rewards and redemptions
- Consent records — what each member agreed to, in which version of the wording, and when
- Signatures, where the business chose to capture them
This data is written to the device's local database, protected by the operating system's own file protection. With iCloud sync on — the default — the same data is mirrored through the business's own private iCloud database, under Apple's terms, and is readable only by devices signed into that Apple Account. It does not pass through, and is not accessible to, BTN GROUP. Sync can be switched off in Settings, after which everything stays on the one device.
4. What we collect
Nothing. Keepr contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs and no network calls to BTN GROUP. The app functions fully offline. We do not know how many members you have, what you sell, or whether you opened the app today.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Keepr asks Apple whether a valid purchase exists and receives a yes or no. We never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The 30-day trial is tracked by a single date stored in the device Keychain. It never leaves the device.
6. Sensitive data
Keepr is not intended for special-category data as defined by Article 9 of the GDPR — health data, biometrics, and so on. The free-text note field on a member record should not be used for it. Businesses in regulated sectors should take their own advice before recording anything beyond contact details and purchase history.
7. Children
Keepr is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. A business enrolling anyone under 16 into its loyalty programme is responsible for obtaining consent in the manner its own law requires.
8. Retention and deletion
Because the data sits on the business's device, the business controls how long it is kept. Deleting a member removes their record and history. Deleting the app, or clearing all data from Settings, removes everything. Neither we nor anyone else holds a backup copy — which also means deletion is permanent and irreversible. Export first if you may need the records later.
9. Member rights
Members of a loyalty programme should direct requests for access, correction, erasure or portability to the business that enrolled them, not to BTN GROUP. We hold nothing to give them. A business can satisfy such a request using the CSV export and the delete function inside the app.
10. This website
btngroup.eu serves these pages as static files. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party trackers. Standard server access logs may record IP addresses for security and diagnostics, kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the revised policy is published here. Continuing to use Keepr after a change means accepting the revised policy.
