Getting started
Setup walks you through the whole programme: your name and currency, branding, how points are earned and redeemed, what members can redeem them for, your staff, and what you ask for when someone joins. It takes about five minutes and everything is editable afterwards in More.
Turn on sample members at the last step if you want to explore the register and the insights with realistic history before you start for real. You can clear it later from More → Settings → Sample data.
Restoring a purchase
On a new device, or after reinstalling, open More → Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
Using Keepr on more than one device
There is no Keepr account and no password. Keepr syncs through the Apple Account already signed in on the device, so setting up a second device is simply: install Keepr, make sure the device is signed into the same Apple Account, and open it. Your shop — members, visits, points, rules and branding — appears on its own. Give it a few moments the first time.
This is why there is no login screen. Apple does not allow apps to ask for your Apple Account details, and Keepr never sees them. Everything travels through your own private iCloud storage; none of it reaches us.
If nothing appears: check Settings → your name → iCloud on both devices, confirm they are the same account, and that iCloud Drive is on. In Keepr, More → Settings → Data shows what the app thinks the state is.
Turning sync off
You can switch sync off in More → Settings → Data, or decline it during setup. Keepr then works completely, but everything stays on that one device: it will not appear on your iPad or Mac, and a lost device means lost records. If you work that way, export to CSV regularly from More → Data & export.
My trial ended and I cannot take a transaction
That is expected — after 30 days, recording new activity needs a plan. Your members, their balances, their history and the CSV export all stay available. Choose a plan from More → Settings → Subscription and the till works again immediately.
A member's balance looks wrong
Open the member and look at their timeline. Every balance in Keepr is the sum of an append-only ledger, so each change has an entry naming what happened, when, and who was signed in. Points that lapsed appear as their own expiry entry. Nothing is ever silently rewritten.
Staff, PINs and permissions
Give each person their own profile in More → Staff, and give anyone above clerk a personal PIN — otherwise the name on a transaction proves nothing. Turn on Ask who is on shift so Keepr requires a name before it will take a sale.
Deleting your data
More → Settings → Delete all members and history removes everything permanently. There is no server-side copy and no undo, so export first if there is any chance you will want the records back.
Still stuck?
Write to hello@btngroup.eu with your device, your iOS or macOS version, and what you were doing. Please do not send us member data — we do not need it and would rather not receive it.
