Help with Loraset for macOS
Get in touch: hello@btngroup.eu. Tell us your macOS version, your Mac model, and what you were doing. We read every message.
Getting started
Loraset opens with a full tutorial. You can reopen it any time from Help › Loraset Tutorial. In short: pick a mode in the sidebar, press + to start a project, drag in your photos, and press Generate in the box at the bottom.
Common questions
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, after the one-time model download. Everything else happens on your Mac.
The model download failed or stopped.
Check your connection and press Try Again. Downloads resume where they stopped, and every file is verified before it is used. If a download keeps failing, delete the model in Settings › Models and start it again.
It is slow.
Lower the quality (Fast or Draft) in the model selector at the bottom of the sidebar, or switch to the 2B model. Closing other memory-hungry apps helps, because the model needs several gigabytes of memory. Loraset measures the real speed on your Mac and shows the time per image next to each quality level.
An image shows “Issue”.
The AI could not describe it, or declined. Open the image to read why, then regenerate it, add a note for that image, or use Fix with AI.
The texts are too long, too short, or in the wrong style.
Change the target model or length in Options, or simply say so in the chat at the bottom: “make the captions shorter”. For LoRA training, the target model preset controls the whole style.
Which Macs are supported?
Any Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs cannot run the on-device AI, so the app is not offered for them.
Where are my projects stored?
Inside the app's own sandboxed folder in your Library, on your Mac. Deleting a project removes Loraset's copies of the images; your original files are never touched.
Is any of it paid?
No. Every feature is unlocked for everyone. The only in-app purchases are optional coffees ($5, $10 or $20) that unlock nothing and exist purely to support development.
Adult content and uncensored models.
The 18+ setting is off by default and lives in Settings › Content. Material involving minors is always refused, and no setting changes that.
Bug reports and ideas
Send them to hello@btngroup.eu. If the app crashed, the macOS crash report (Console › Crash Reports) is very helpful. Feature requests are welcome — a lot of Loraset exists because someone asked.
