1. Summary
SOLE is a local-first iPhone app. It does not require an account, does not operate an advertising network and does not sell personal, collection or Apple Health data.
2. Data SOLE handles
When you use SOLE, the app may process information you choose to enter, including sneaker photographs, brand, model, colourway, category, size, purchase information, notes, reviews, wear targets and wear history.
The app also stores display preferences, notification preferences and the aggregate rotation information needed by the SOLE Home Screen widget.
3. Apple Health fitness data
If you grant permission, SOLE requests read-only access through HealthKit to step count, walking and running distance, and running workout records. SOLE uses these categories to show activity for a period you select and to calculate wear for the pair you choose.
- SOLE does not write data to Apple Health.
- SOLE does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, data mining or profiling.
- SOLE does not sell or disclose HealthKit data to third parties.
- You can deny or change access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → SOLE.
Apple limits how apps can determine the status of read permissions. SOLE verifies access by checking whether the requested fitness records can be read.
4. Storage and retention
Your collection, photos, reviews and wear history are stored locally on your device using Apple system storage. SOLE does not upload this content to a BTN GROUP server and does not provide cloud sync or an online account.
A limited summary—recommended pair name, brand, category and aggregate wear totals—is stored in the app's private on-device App Group so the SOLE widget can display it. Local rotation reminders are scheduled through iOS.
Data remains on your device until you delete an item inside SOLE or delete the app, subject to iOS device backups controlled by you and Apple.
6. Your choices and control
- Choose whether to grant Apple Health read access.
- Change Apple Health permissions in the Health app.
- Enable or disable local notifications in SOLE or iOS Settings.
- Edit or delete individual pairs and wear records inside SOLE.
- Delete the app to remove its local data from the device.
Because SOLE has no user account or server-side collection database, BTN GROUP cannot access, export or recover your local collection for you.
7. Children
SOLE is a general-audience collection utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect children's personal information on BTN GROUP servers.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when SOLE's features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will identify the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page as appropriate.
9. Contact
SOLE is developed by BTN GROUP SRL, Bucharest, Romania. For privacy or support questions, use the SOLE support page or the public BTN GROUP contact channel.
