1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of the SOLE iOS app and its related website. By downloading or using SOLE, you agree to these terms and to Apple's applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What SOLE provides
SOLE helps you catalogue footwear, record wear, review selected Apple Health fitness activity, track running-shoe mileage and receive rotation suggestions. Features and availability may differ by device, operating-system version, permissions and region.
3. Licence and acceptable use
BTN GROUP grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use SOLE on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store rules.
You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, rent, sell, misuse, disrupt or attempt unauthorized access to the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Your content and records
You retain responsibility for photos, notes and records you add to SOLE. You confirm that you have the rights needed to store that content and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
SOLE is local-first. You are responsible for your device, backups and any exports or screenshots you choose to share. BTN GROUP cannot recover local content that is deleted, lost with the device or removed with the app.
5. Fitness and footwear notice
SOLE's wear percentages, retirement signals and injury-risk flags are informational estimates—not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or a guarantee that footwear is safe.
Distance, step and workout information may be incomplete or inaccurate because it depends on Apple Health sources, device wear, sensor quality, permissions and manual entries. Inspect your footwear, consider comfort and visible damage, and seek qualified medical advice for pain, injury or health concerns.
6. App availability and changes
We may improve, modify or discontinue features, subject to applicable law. Apple Health access requires a compatible iPhone and your permission. The app is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Intellectual property
SOLE's software, interface, branding and original content belong to BTN GROUP or its licensors. Sneaker brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in a user-maintained catalogue does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOLE is provided “as is” and “as available.” BTN GROUP disclaims implied warranties where legally permitted. BTN GROUP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the app, lost local data, reliance on wear estimates or third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law, without limiting mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
10. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect feature, business or legal changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
